Oklahoma’s Can Do Attitude Makes State Great Place to Live, Work, and Play!

Oklahoma Pride  At LocalOkAds.com we are proud to serve the entire state of Oklahoma and the citizens that call this great state home. We are proud of the rich traditions and heritage our state offers its citizens. Oklahoman’s know that this state is one of the nation’s most desirable places to live, work, and play. Known for friendly people and a “can do” attitude, our state has something for everyone.

A wide spectrum of major corporations call Oklahoma their home, including the Sonic Corporation, Dollar Rent-A-Car, Thrifty Rent-A-Car, Devon Energy and Kerr-Mcgee. We are proud of their accomplishments and the pride that they have brought to our great state. However, at LocalOKAds.com we honor the small business man or women who is the lifeblood of our state. Businesses like Kuts-4-Kids, Tulsa; Bright Smile Family Dentistry, Edmond; OKC Wellness Clinic, Oklahoma City; and Merkley’s Driver Training, Edmond/Oklahoma City. Each one has a tradition for quality service, fair prices and a “can do” attitude.

Many Oklahomans have established even smaller businesses directly in their home. These are the folks who are out their pounding the pavement, going the extra mile, and doing their best to carve out a living. Once again it’s their “can do” attitude that helps them acheive success in such a brutal environment as small business ownership. Owners like Jeri Mobley of Arbonne International & Discovery Toys, Oklahoma City; and Speech Pathologist, Judy Dennis, also of Oklahoma City. These fine people are very dedicated to their professions and will take the time and energy necessary to see that they serve you to the best of their abilities. Please visit their web sites or businesses. You will be helping Oklahoma and its citizens stay strong.

American Idol Star Carrie Underwood

Their attitudes remind me of one now famous Oklahoman who hails from Checotah,Oklahoma, population 3,500 Ms. Carrie Underwood. Her “can do” attitude, hard work, and love for what she does earned her the title as America’s Idol. Now Carrie has gone on to earn a recording contract, number one singles and various music awards. It just goes to show you what Oklahoman’s are capable of really doing.   Famous Okies

At LocalOKAds.com we are proud to serve the people and businesses of Oklahoma. Please take the time to visit the Oklahoma Pixel Board at www.LocalOKAds.com its the only one of its kind in the state. Take some time to browse the websites and see what Oklahoman’s have to offer you. Their commitment to professionalism and quality is beyond measure, our sponsers will take the time to listen and understand your needs. I can tell you that I have visted and purchased many of their products and services. I have never been disappointed by their commitment to service, fair prices and quality work.

Well, until next time…Stay Great Oklahoma!

Pixel Craze in Oklahoma? 10 Reasons Why Pixels Should Not Be Feared

 bloglogo.jpg  bloglogo.jpg  bloglogo.jpg

Since I started my own Internet advertising agency back in January I have been out in the community selling my product. Many times I hear the question “Why should I advertise with you?” or “What can you do for me?” In the beginning my constant stammering chased many customers away. However, since then I have polished my answers a bit, although, I still get the door slammed in my face.

We humans are smug people, we always believe that our “thing” or “product” is the best, and people are nuts for not seeing it themselves. “What is wrong with this person,” I said to myself the other day. “Don’t they understand they recieve very little traffic to their website (Alexa rating statistics) and that means very few potential sales!” I can help them.

I understand, people don’t trust other people. Who can blame them. Look at all the ripoffs out there! After that experience I decided to alleviate everyones fears, as well as my own, and wrote why I believe Oklahoman’s with websites should advertise on www.localokads.com . Our site is unique. As far as I am aware, no one in Oklahoma has a site like LocalOKAds that offers pixel advertising, news, features, free blogging, etc.

  1. Our site is geographical. We promote Oklahoma businesses, not the entire Internet world. And we write about Oklahoma too.
  2. We have talented web designers on staff. Completely dedicated to building web sites at very reasonable prices. The lowest in the state. Go ahead take a look. Our work is out their on the Big Board. In addition, we don’t charge monthly fees. If we build your page we’ll maintain it for free no matter what.
  3. We will host and promote your site for 5 years. You can keep track of the time if you want. But, we will promote and host for 5 years.
  4. When you become our client we will actively promote your business with our weblog. We offer more than the “Million Dollar Home Page.” You will receive a greater Return On Investment.
  5. We are currently working on adding a pixel bulletin board to provide variety, and yet more coverage for our advertisers and for our Internet readers.
  6. We offer a monthly feature called “Spotlight on Oklahoma” that uncovers an Oklahoma town or city. We find out about its history and what makes it unique in Oklahoma.
  7. On our Pixel Board we offer a promotion called “Lock Out” where you the advertiser can lock out your competition for two years from placing their own advertisement on the Pixel Board.
  8. We worry about driving Internet traffic to your site. Not you. We’ve learned alot in 3 months about Internet marketing. There are thousands of sites on the Internet saying they can drive traffic to your site, but really there are only a few good ones.
  9. We can promise you that we will work hard and be honest, that our prices will be financially reasonable, and that your Internet experience will be a pleasant one. We have confidence in the products and services you provide to Oklahomans. We will do our best to generate traffic to your website.
  10. Finally, we are friends to small business folks. They are the economic blood of this state. We can succeed, however, we need each other to do so.

Well that’s my rant for now. So come on, check us out and give us a chance. At least visit the site and look around at www.localokads.com , Oklahoma’s premier site for doing business on the web.

So, until next time…Stay Great Oklahoma!

Merkely’s Driver Ed. Making it Safe to Get Out on the Road Again.

 I want to give a shout out…

car_swerving_road_sm_blk.gif…to Scott Merkely and Merkley’s Driver Education Inc. with schools located in Edmond and Oklahoma City. I have known Scott for a few years now and want to tell everyone, especially in Oklahoma, what a terrific organization he has put together. Scott and his staff do a great job in instructing and training Oklahoma’s youth in driver’s training. According to “DriveHomeSafe.com” a teenage driving website that tracks teenage driving statistics, says that “More than any age group, teenagers are likely to be involved in a single vehicle crash.” I am assuming that the age group here is 16 to 20 years of age. Another interesting fact is that this teenage group “makes up 7% of licensed drivers, but suffers 14% of fatalities and 20% of all reported accidents. The website goes on to tell what may contribute to the cause of accidents; pointing out that “immaturity” and “inexperience behind the wheel” are contributing factors to teenage vehicle accidents. Any of you Moms and Dads out there, who are now faced with the thought of your son and daughter sitting behind the wheel of “your” car, may want to check out this website http://www.drivehomesafe.com/ .

Anyway, if you are looking for a great drivers training school for your son or daughter give Scott a call at 405-348-6686 or at 405-720-6686 or you can go to the website at http://www.localokads.com/merkley. He is out on the big board under, you guessed it, “Merkleys”. Before opening his own business, Scott worked in the Edmond School District and with youth groups in his church and has a great ability to relate to his students.  Now Scott does more than just teenage driver courses. He also offers defensive driving and court ordered driving instruction. Keep up the great work Scott

New Blog? New Look!

Well, by now, you have come to notice we have stepped up, and hooked up, with WordPress, a terrific blogging script. I am pretty proud of myself. I was able to set this whole thing up by myself. Thanks to some great instructions by WordPress. After a lot of sweat, tears and late nights I finally launched this blog to the world last week. As I said a while ago, the Internet is hardwork, and we are working hard to make http://www.localokads.com/ a huge success in Oklahoma. We are still getting the word out to Oklahoma to come to our site and look at the ads on the pixel board. The folks who have chosen to advertise with us are great people, and the products they sell are even better. These folks are proud to be working and living in Oklahoma. Although the main feature of our site is our “Big Board”, we have other reasons to come to this site. Each month we spotlight one of Oklahoma’s towns or cities in a feature we call “Spotlight on Oklahoma” you will find some interesting things there. We also have local news and sports from KOCO Channel 5. They are the folks who give us our news feeds and they do a great job of keeping them updated. And Of course we have Diary of a Pixel Queen the ranting and raving of a self-made pixel queen from Oklahoma. There is no login requirement, anyone can leave a comment on any topic. Also, we offer in this blog an event calendar for Oklahoma City and Tulsa Events. If you have an event you would like to get published for free e-mail us at localokads@sbcglobal.net

So, untill then…Stay Great Oklahoma!
Laura
