Miss Judy - A Fresh ‘Voice’ in Oklahoma

I would like to give a shout out…

to Miss Judy Dennis, a licensed speech, language, and voice pathologist who practices in the Oklahoma City area. Her link can be found on the big board under Miss Judy. Anyway, I have been feeling a bit down lately because business has not been going as well as I’d like it to. Don’t get me wrong, we are doing OK, however, I had visions of setting up the web site and then watching the orders just pour in like The Million Dollar Homepage. It has been a lot of hard work. My family and I have been working hard to drum up business and sometimes we succeed and sometimes we don’t. Anyway, Wednesday was Ben’s (Ben is my 6 year-old son) speech appointment and Miss Judy (that’s what the kids like to call her) told me how pleased she was with her page, and then asked how the business was doing? I confessed that I was a bit discouraged because we weren’t getting as many orders as I’d like. She immediately wrote down the names of people who she thought would be interested. She tried to help me think of some ways to get the word out about the web site. She was truly concerned and wanted to help and that made me feel so good! It really brightened my day and I appreciated her efforts. So, thank you Miss Judy.

So, until then….Stay Great Oklahoma!

OK’s own Dr. J making people smile in Edmond

I would like to give a shout out…

to Dr. J and the great staff at Bright Smile Family Dentistry with offices located in Edmond, Norman, Harrah and soon Del City. Visit Dr. J’s website by clicking http://localokads.com/ej_brightsmile/ or located out on the big board under “Bright Smile”. You can try to call him Dr. JarJoura, but we find it easier to call him Dr. J. My family and I have been patients of his for nearly 8 years and he has been the best dentist we have experienced. I highly recommend you visit Dr. J. Besides being a great dentist, he is great with kids also. I should know, I have four sons that do not mind going to the dentist now. His wife, Dr. Julie Speights practices with him and together, they make a great team. So please visit Bright Smile and tell them you saw their ad on http://www.localokads.com/ and they will set you up with details on obtaining an Incredible Pizza gift card valued at $22. Thanks Dr. J.

Now, from my husband! He has a big time Gripe…!

Recently we joined a great website called LinkReferral.com. The site provides an affordable alternative to search engines and banner ad campaigns. By submitting your website you join a network of other members who have submitted their websites for viewing. As a member, you are required to surf and review a certain number of websites each day. Members can login to their accounts and read all of the reviews pertaining to their site. Some of our reviews for http://www.localokads.com/ have been really good. We really appreciate all of the positive feedback we have been getting. However, once in a while we get a bad review like “poor navigation” or “poor content”. Now, you may think I can’t take the criticism. That’s not it at all. I welcome it. When someone writes “poor navigation” I would like them to tell me how I can improve it. I know a few simple things about web design; it would be helpful to have good, solid feedback regarding the site. If the site stinks, then tell me all about it. But, if you care, let me know how I can improve it. I mean, it’s only a pixel board. How hard is it to navigate a pixel board?

Spotlight on Oklahoma - New feature added…!

We’ve added a new feature to the site called Spotlight on Oklahoma . Each month we will be selecting a town or city in Oklahoma to feature. This month is Duncan, OK. If you haven’t been to Duncan, you need to get there. Duncan is a fascinating place with a lot of ‘old west’ history. Please visit the Spotlight on Oklahoma link located on the Big Board and read how the city of Duncan earned its name. We chose to feature Duncan because of the two ads currently on the Big Board, XANGA Juice™ and African Baskets. Brenny and Kathy Aldredge who own B & K Enterprises are from Duncan and distribute these fine products. You can see Brenny and Kathy right now at the Wichita Civic Center, Wichita, KS. Show dates are March 1-5, 2006. Also, see them soon in Tulsa, OK at the Tulsa Home and Garden Show.

So, until then…Stay Great Oklahoma!

Chiropractic Wellness Clinic - OKC’s Best Wellness Clinic

I would like to give a shout out…

to Doctor Ashleigh Muse of the Chiropractic Wellness Clinic of Oklahoma City. Dr. Muse and her wonderful staff specialize in Chiropractic Medicine, Massage, Health and Fitness, Yoga, and Acupuncture. When I became pregnant with my fourth child I began to see Dr. Muse and she relieved the muscle strain in my lower back. I still continue to see Dr. Muse. Today, I see her at 7923 N. May Ave. in OKC at the Chiropractic Wellness Clinic. You can find Dr. Muse and her pixel ad on the main board. The clinic has other locations in Edmond, South Oklahoma City, Moore and Midwest City. Check her out today she is really great! Thanks Dr. Ashleigh!

Oklahoma is a Great State…!

Kathryn L. Taylor, Oklahoma’s Secretary of Commerce and Tourism, said that “Oklahoma is ranked as one of the most business-friendly states in the country.” And to that, I agree with the Secretary. Since we started LocalOKAds.com, we have spoken to many of our state’s business men and women and have found them to be very nice, hard working and excited about sharing their talents with the people of Oklahoma. I think it is part of our rich tradition in looking out for one another. Many Oklahoman’s throughout our towns and cities are concerned about one another and like to help each other out. The men and women who make our state economy strong are no different. We have had the pleasure of meeting, and working with the folks who advertise on our pixel board, and I can tell you they are a symbol of what makes our state economy great. I want to invite everyone to please visit these folks and support them, as well as, our great state.

Google® us…

We finally made it into the Google® search engine, so now it is easy to find us. However, if you are reading this you’ve already found us. So please bookmark us, and keep coming back to see what new ads show up on the big Oklahoma Pixel Board!

So, until then…. Stay Great Oklahoma!
